Sequence of Events<\/strong>
The session began with you being led deeper into the kobolds’ cave by the nervous Niknak<\/code>. You arrived at the throne room where you met the leader, Sootscale<\/code>, a proud but pressured kobold. His leadership is being questioned after the tribe’s holy Totem was stolen by Mitflits<\/code> \u2013 small, malevolent fey creatures. After a hesitant start, where Aurelio<\/code>‘s handshake attempt was ignored and Zogg<\/code> grew impatient, Gassi<\/code> succeeded with an impressive diplomatic effort to convince Sootscale<\/code>. You agreed to retrieve the Totem in exchange for information. Maven<\/code> immediately “adopted” the outcast Niknak<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Niknak<\/code> led you on a 10-12 hour, exhausting march to the Mitflit<\/code> nest \u2013 a hole under a large tree \u2013 before hastily returning. Gassi<\/code> shared his knowledge: Mitflits<\/code> are fey-related and vulnerable to cold iron<\/code>. After a short rest to recover, you tackled the narrow tunnels. The entrance was a 3-meter-deep climb down among roots. Maven<\/code> jumped down elegantly, while Gassi<\/code>, inspired but lacking technique, attempted the same maneuver and landed in a heap right on top of an unprepared Aurelio<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once down in the claustrophobic tunnels, which some of you had to crawl through, you encountered a workshop with two Mitflits<\/code>. Combat broke out. The creatures used strange devices that shot small pellets, which lowered Maven<\/code>‘s agility. Maven<\/code> responded with his axe and cleaved one of them, whereupon the other fled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You continued deeper and were ambushed in a larger cave. Several Mitflits<\/code> attacked from all sides, and you also discovered four captured kobolds. A chaotic battle ensued where you were stuck in the tunnel opening. Nym<\/code> teleported past the bottleneck, Zogg<\/code> unleashed a cone of fire, and Maven<\/code> went berserk. The last Mitflit<\/code> attacker was defeated, and Gassi<\/code> convinced the surviving captured kobold, Mikmek<\/code>, that you were there to help. Mikmek<\/code>, overjoyed to be free, warned you about the giant centipedes (Giant Centipedes<\/code>) that the Mitflits<\/code> use as work animals and decided to fight by your side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Maven<\/code> collected blood from a previous enemy, you reached a deep chasm. Gassi<\/code> conjured a ladder so you could cross it. As you carefully balanced your way across, the ground shook and an enormous Giant Centipede<\/code> burst from the ground! Several Mitflits<\/code>, some riding Giant Stag Beetles<\/code>, joined the fray. The chaos was total. Mikmek<\/code> bravely threw his spear but was brutally cut down by a Mitflit<\/code>, which made Maven<\/code> see red and launch a violent counter-attack to avenge your new friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
