{"id":493,"date":"2025-11-07T21:36:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T21:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.koltrasten.com\/?p=493"},"modified":"2025-11-15T21:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T21:01:01","slug":"using-the-transcribed-text","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.koltrasten.com\/?p=493","title":{"rendered":"How the journal entries are made"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"493\" class=\"elementor elementor-493\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d39df8e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d39df8e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e8442d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1e8442d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you followed along <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koltrasten.com\/?p=440\">this post<\/a> and all went well, you should have a text file with your transcribed and diarized TTRPG session, well done!<\/p><p>Now, you have many options as to what you can do with this text.<br \/>I&#8217;m gonna show you what I do for my Pathfinder group and share the prompt I use.<\/p><p>These were the requirements I worked with:<\/p><ul><li>The end result should be a summarization of the session with key events, clues\/hints and end with a brief cliffhanger for the next session.<\/li><li>The transcription isn&#8217;t perfect and the LLM has to adjust and correct names that gets incorrectly transcribed. Zogg often gets translated as Sog, Sogg or S\u00e5g.<\/li><li>The LLM has to determine, based on context clues, who said and did what.<\/li><li>The text has to be formatted as markdown code so the formatting will work in Discord.<\/li><li>It has to keep it under 4000 characters, the limit for a Discord message (if you have Nitro).<\/li><\/ul><p>This is a small example of how the transcribed text can look and how the diarization works, we can also see that the AI failed to understand Zogg&#8217;s name. Something we have to fix with the LLM in post.<br \/>We can also see that it does it&#8217;s best to determine and label each speaker (this is what&#8217;s called diarization). The reason why we see more than 6 speakers (we are 5 players and 1 DM) is because some of us voice act as our characters and the AI technically counts that as a new speaker, which of course makes sense.<\/p><pre>[SPEAKER_07]: S\u00e5g, vad vill du hitta p\u00e5?<br \/>[SPEAKER_03]: Vi b\u00e5da fick 29!<br \/>[SPEAKER_03]: Nice.<br \/>[SPEAKER_03]: Jag vill g\u00f6ra en... It isn&#8217;t the best when it comes to counting the amount of character it uses, but I added a margin of about 300 characters and it seems to work pretty good.<\/p><pre>You are to act as a helpful Game Master\u2019s assistant. <br \/>Your task is to analyze a transcript from a Pathfinder 2e session and create a detailed summary of what happened, along with fun interactions between the players.<br \/><br \/>I will upload a transcription. Based on that file, do the following steps in *exactly* this order and with *exactly* this formatting:<br \/><br \/>1. Identify and keep track of the characters:<br \/>(The characters: Nym, Zogg, Aurelio, Gassi, and Maven. Misspellings such as \u201csog\u201d or \u201cS\u00e5gg\u201d may occur in the transcript \u2014 do your best to correct the names.)<br \/><br \/>2. Write a narrative summary:<br \/>Give the session a fitting title following the below template <br \/># Kingmaker Episode X: [Title] #.<br \/><br \/>Write a detailed, chronological summary of the session\u2019s events under the heading <br \/># Event Summary #. <br \/>Capture both major and minor events, important dialogues, and the mood of the session. <br \/>Bold all important NPCs, places, items, and groups with **Text**.<br \/><br \/>3. **Summarize mysteries and clues:**<br \/>Create a bullet list under the heading <br \/># Major Mysteries &amp; Clues #. <br \/>List the most important unresolved questions, mysteries, and the clues the group discovered during the session.<br \/><br \/>4. **Write a cliffhanger:**<br \/>End with a short paragraph under the heading <br \/># Cliffhanger #.<br \/><br \/>Summarize where the session ended and what awaits next to build anticipation.<br \/><br \/>Formatting and style requirements:<br \/><br \/>- The entire response must be in Swedish. <br \/>- Use an engaging and concise tone, as if writing for the players in the group. <br \/>- All headings must exactly follow the format # Heading # (with one space on each side of the text). <br \/>- All bold text must exactly follow the format **Text**. <br \/>- Limit your entire response to 3,700 characters and enclose it all in a single Markdown code block (```markdown ... ```).<\/pre><p>If everything worked as intended, all you have to do is upload your transcription to your LLM and give it the prompt above (adjust for your campaign and character names etc, ofc) and it should spit out a summary ready to post on Discord.\u00a0<br \/>We have a dedicated channel just for these &#8220;journal entries&#8221;, but your mileage may vary.
