Sequence of Events
The session started in the aftermath of the battle against the frost giant. After a moral debate, you looted the fallen to strengthen yourselves for the battles ahead. In a nearby pantry, you found the unconscious adventurers Valerie, Amiri, and Harim, whom you revived. They then fled toward the safety of the great hall.
Your pursuit continued through a burning and smoke-filled corridor where you found and rescued the arrogant gnome Tartuccio. You pushed deeper and found an armory, where you were ambushed by assassins led by Commander Nishkiv. The fight was fierce; Aurelio was critically injured and Nym demonstrated his confusing doppelgänger magic. After defeating the enemies, you rescued another bound adventurer. She revealed that Lady Jamandi was cornered in “The Fighting Pit” by giants and their “boss.”
You rushed there and found a massive battle underway. Lady Jamandi was fighting two giants while a red-haired female commander led a horde of Black Tear Cutthroats. Jamandi felled one giant and ordered you to take care of the rest. A chaotic and brutal fight broke out in which you focused on the deadly commander. Gassi was knocked unconscious by a critical blow from her and hovered on the brink of death. Zogg was also struck down. With heroic efforts, you managed to heal your fallen comrades. Meanwhile, Lady Jamandi demonstrated her superior skill by felling both the second giant and, finally, the red-haired commander, breaking the enemy’s morale.
After securing the manor, you had a short rest and reached level 2. The next morning, Lady Jamandi held a ceremony where she handed out charters. The arrogant mercenary group Iron Wraith received their mission and mocked you on their way out. Finally, you received your royal charter: journey to the Greenbelt region, deal with the bandit problem, and start at a trading post named Oleg's Trading Post.
